City Guide For Families On The Go - October

By: Blue Scooter Kids | | Published On: 2019-10-03

            Happy October!

October is a month of leaf kicking beauty and holiday activities that kids and families love….And costumes! Is there anything cuter than kids in costumes? Three personal favorites spotted in the last week are; the kids with superhero capes riding scooters around the court, a soccer star at practice in black sequins with tutu and a dad out for a walk holding the hand of his scooting dinosaur. I digress.

Let’s get started with a few Naperville events that showcase the best of October!

Ghost Stories in the Park Friday, October 4 through Sunday, October 6. Chilling and thrilling ghost stories at the Naperville Grand Pavillion. Check out the times for silly or scary stories for kids of all ages.

at Knoch Knolls Nature Center Monday, October 14 (Columbus Day). Creepy Storytime is provided by Naperville Public Library. All the creepy critters will be there: worms, snake, cockroach and Buffy the Bat. There’s even a scavenger hunt!

. These tours run October 18-31 starting at 7pm. Costumes are encouraged! You can book online at NapervilleTrolley.com.

Sunday, October 20 from 12 to 2pm at Aurelios Pizza Springbrook Square. This event has it all! Make your own pizza, crafts, scary stories, fairies and a trolley ride! Space is limited!

at Learning Express Toys of Naperville Saturday, October 26 from 2 to 3pm. This event is part of their Ronald McDonald House Charities Fundraiser weekend.

Saturday, October 26. This event is great for kids ages 3 to 12 years. Costumes encouraged and Trick or Treating for goodies!

            Till next time…
